I grabbed the cheapest rod, reel and line combo available from ORVIS and took it out for the day to put it through it's paces. I wanted to see just how it fished and to show that you don't need to spend stupid amounts of money on gear when you first get into fly fishing in order to catch fish. The 'ENCOUNTER' combo is available from Kilwell Sports online and from Taupo Rod And Tackle in store and is a great option for anyone new to the sport.
