Every time I use this fly rod, I am quickly reminded of what a fool I am for owning MUCH more expensive ones. It does everything well. I think for a rod combo that costs $119 CAD you won't do better. As an angler of 35 years and a fly fisherman for the best 6 years(encroaching on 7), It just amazes me how the gear just seems to be getting better and better. That goes for all price points. The Rod in Review is the Maxcatch Extreme 4 piece Graphite 8'6" 4wt It has the stock reel but sports the Scientific Anglers Air Cel 5wt. Note: I contacted Maxcatch about warranty and they charge $20 for repair/replacement of the tip section which isn't too bad. Just the way this industry warranty system works.
