Here we go! Welcome to the Mario Kart Wii Time Trial Lab. The goal of this series is to help as many people improve their time trials as possible, producing more accessible, in depth resources to learn different strategies, techniques and mechanics of the game. This series specifically aims to use viewer submitted times to give specific feedback for their times, depending on where their skill level is at on track. The format of this series has evolved since the first idea for this series. The Time Trial Lab will be both a YouTube video series and a live streamed series. The YouTube series will be one main video for all 32 tracks, reviewing the majority of the common strategies for the track, giving advice on what to focus on, depending on where the player's skill level is at. The live stream part of the series will accomplish the goal of helping a larger volume of players, with being much more practical to go through 10-20+ ghosts in a stream, giving more condensed feedback and advice. In a video format, I can take the time to go a lot more in-depth, so it didn't feel right to give such condensed feedback in a format where it's more conducive to longer form explanations and tutorials. The plan is to have at least one Time Trial Lab stream a month. I will release a submission form each Time Trial Lab stream to have submissions on the spot, and go through them during the stream. You can consider this series as the landmark for a strong reference point for each of the 32 Nintendo tracks over time of where to start with learning the majority of the common strategies for the track. In the following months, I'll be continuing the in-depth tutorial series (with my first one on N64 Bowser's Castle a few years ago being the first one I did) which will be the ultimate track tutorial for all 32 tracks. Anything you want to learn and know about will be broken down frame by frame at points in that series. I'm happy to finally have this series rolling out. As mentioned, the ultimate goal is to have all of you take away at least one thing learned to improve your times and get better at the game. I hope this series will accomplish that. When I am ready to start making the next Time Trial Lab video of each track, I will be making an individual YouTube community tab post, with a brand new submission form for specifically one track.
