I am a relatively new knitter and I am confused by all the terms for variegated yarns -- Self striping, marled, speckled, heathered, tweed etc. Can you explain them and the best ways to know how they will knit up when buying yarn. Recently when I was walking outside one of the stitches on my sweater got snagged on a branch and stretched out really far. Now I have a huge loop hanging on the front of the fabric and I can't figure out how to fix it! Has this ever happened to you and do you have any advice for snagged snitches? Thank you! 3.
