HAPPY NEW YEAR'S EVE EVERYONE! So this is a SUPER LAST MINUTE cover because an old friend from music school I hadn't seen in 16 years told me last minute he was going to be in town, so I had four days to scramble around to for something for us to play. I joked he should play on my son's $80 viola from amazon.com and he was all for it, so I transcribed One Summer's Day from the Studio Ghibli Cello Collection and we sightread it this afternoon lol, after both of us not having practiced for a week on vacation and him on an $80 viola lmao. Now my son has no excuse to blame his instrument anymore as $80 never sounded so good hahahaha. The real miracle was getting all our kids to stay quiet during recording, which was just completely impossible, so we gave up and just recorded lol. (The screaming is part of the experience! John Cage would approve lmao)
