On the red carpet at the 62nd New York Film Festival US Premiere of Luca Guadagnino's Queer, costume Daniel Craig spoke with The Queer Review's editor James Kleinmann about playing William Lee in the film and his character's speech about deciding to be unapologetic about his queerness. Queer synopsis: In 1950s Mexico City, William Lee (Daniel Craig), an American ex-pat in his late forties, leads a solitary life amidst a small American community. The arrival in town of Eugene Allerton, a young student, stirs William into finally establishing a meaningful connection with someone. The 62nd New York Film Festival continues until October 14th, 2024. Queer opens in select theaters on November 27th, 2024 from A24.
