Try to get them wide enough that you can fit your hips in between your feet. This will give you a great combination of stability AND power. Too wide will be really stable, but not very powerful, and too narrow will be powerful but not very stable. Try to get both. Now, you may see videos of great shooters and they don't have their feet this wide apart. Just remember, we are talking about habits. The wider apart you get your feet in practice, the more comfortable you'll be when you need to be in that position in games.
