Charles displays his very uniquely captivating style of interpretation in this recording. He doesn't play it with the characteristic staccato style of most accordionists & pianists, but gives it a somewhat slurred texture. His highly original arrangement which includes a bellows shake is quite a departure from the original piano score & for me, it works. I really love the concluding coda as it fades into the Spanish night with its mysterious playfulness.
