Make Your Photos POP with Lightroom!

Here's a quick #lightroomtutorial on how I edited this raw photo. You can follow along this tutorial by downloading the raw file here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1yqm2... ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ Thank you for watching my video! ► http://www.the-phlog.com ► Patreon:   / phlog   ► Instagram:   / thephlog   ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ 0:00 Intro For this image, I wanted to bring back colors and make the reflection in the foreground a bit more prominent. As I wanted to keep the post processing simply, I only used Lightroom to edit the image. 0:27 1. Basic Adjustments I started by changing the profile to Adobe Neutral which gives me a flat image to work with. I then adjusted the white balance to get some more natural colors. To get back details and add contrast, I dropped the highlights, the blacks and the shadows, while bringing up the whites. To make the photo look sharp and clear, I added texture, clarity and dehaze. Finally, I increased the vibrance for more saturation. 3:38 2. Masking First, I targeted the blue part of the sky using a color range mask. Here, I dropped the exposure, making the sky darker and adding contrast this way. For the reflection I used a linear gradient and increased the whites, the texture and clarity. I added another linear gradient over the very bottom part and dropped the exposure and thus adding some kind of vignetting effect. To add a bit of glow coming in from the left, I used a radial gradient with increased exposure. 6:49 3. Color Grading In the HSL panel, I increased the yellow, green and blue saturation. In the luminance tab, I also increased yellow, green and blue to brighten them up (the blue luminance part is a bit redundant because of the masking part though…) For the split toning I used a warm color for the mid tones and the highlights while using a cold tone for the shadows.
