However, keep in mind that that it will also be more difficult to work the bait with the rod tip, as the slower action will absorb angler input. Conversely, a stiffer rod and braided line will make it harder to glide the bait wide, but it will be very easy to manipulate the bait with short and aggressive rod inputs. This will give more of a tight back and forth cutting action.
