Watch my bus journey from Salem to Bengaluru by the brand new Flixbus . The bus is scheduled at 3:35 PM from Salem's AVR Circle and scheduled the reach Bengaluru's Majestic by 8:35 PM . This bus is a Madurai to Bengaluru bus running on a daytime . Basically this is a European company which started off their fleet in North India like Delhi to Manali , Delhi to Shimla and many more . Recently in August end or September starting they recently started off in Bengaluru . Presently they have 5 routes from Bengaluru . The routes are Bengaluru to Madurai , Hyderabad , Chennai , Vijayawada , Belagavi . The starting offer was introduced at 99/- per ticket for the double berth seats which were applicable on the above 5 routes . I had booked this bus from Madurai itsef but could not board it due to some personal reasons so thought of atleast covering from Salem since this would be passing through the dangerous Thoppur Ghats . This is one such ghat which doesnt seem to have sharp hairpin bends but which does cause a lot of accidents such as unbalancing of the trucks while making a turn on the bends due to the heavy load . Thats why they do insist us to drive at a minimal speed . There are even speaker assisting us to go slow . I booked this bus through Flixbus website directly . Recently they have it on Abhibus . The Ashok Leyland BS6 Engine was such a bliss to hear it roar on the ghat section especially the turbo whistle one is a favourite for all bus fans . Do let me know in the comments which one do you prefer TATA BS6 or Leyland BS6 . The bus was however delayed by one hour on both sides . It arrived salem AVR Circle at 4:35 PM and reached Majestic by 9:40 PM . The amenities of the bus are they provide a Water Bottle and a Blanket even for the Day Journey . Both the drivers drove the bus very well . There are 2 drivers and one conductor for this bus since it would be departing to Madurai byt the same night 11:30 PM so they had to get some rest . We halted for Tea Break at Hotel Saravana Bhavan just after completing ghat ride and just after the Thoppur Toll Plaza .
