In this video you will get to see how I'm farming for my second rare item, the drake mount from Vortex Pinacle. One run can take between 16 to 20 minutes, maybe more if you're unlucky. ¤ Items ¤ 1 Invisibility Potion (18 second duration is the best one, but you can make it with a 15 second potion as well) Glyph of Unleashed Lightning Glyph of Stoneclaw Totem Nitro Boots help a lot, but it's not a must. The better your gear, the easier it will be. I would recomend at least half heroic firelands gear, but it should be possible in normal gear as well. If you can't kill the bosses with your current elemental gear, you can gather some enhancement gear instead. 4set PvP gear with Normal tier 11 in the other slots is enough, but this is definitely more challenging. ¤ The trash - Part 1 ¤ Kite as much as you can while you kill them off one by one. Use the Invisibility Potion to skip the trash before and after the second bridge. (The trash is quite a challenge, so this is highly recommended) ¤ Grand Vizier Ertan ¤ Open with a stoneclaw shield on you. Get all your cooldown up and nuke as much as you can. Make sure you're standing between the tornadoes and the boss. Keep nuking and healing when it's needed until the boss dies. ¤ The trash - Part 2 ¤ Again, kite as much as you can while you kill them off one by one, use Earthbind totem and frost shock to slow them. When killing the dragon trash, act like you're killing a boss. Use all your cooldowns (NOT Heroism/Bloodlust) and burn the dragon down. You will have to avoid getting hit, as it only takes a few swings to kill you. Jumping down when killing the first drake, will give you a few extra seconds to finnish him off. When killing the second drake, you will have to rely on your damage to kill him before he gets too you. Nitro Boots to run away when he gets close can be a life saver. ¤ Altairuss ¤ Open with a stoneclaw shield on you. Get all your cooldowns up and nuke as much as you can. Possition yourself so the wind gives you the haste buff. You can use the Earth Elemental Totem to taunt the boss when you're moving to help you survive, but as soon as Altairus is back on you, a new Stoneclaw shield would be better. Make sure you move close to the middle of the boss when he is about to change wind direction, having to move a long way with slowed down casting speed, will kill you very quickly. Abuse the haste buff and cast Greater Healing Waves when it's needed, while you and your Fire Elemental finishes the boss. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ ¤ The video ¤ Recorded with Fraps.
