We decided to look more into Manchester's Northern Quarter after we had been out for a friends birthday drinks. We of course had walked around this area in the past, and have gone to a gig or two, but we didn't really know the bars, and have still only touched the surface. The NQ is where you will find the alternative stores (like the incredible Afflecks), gaming bars, quirky cocktail and beer taverns, and funky artwork that is sprayed all over the walls of the streets. Yes, the prices of the drinks aren't the cheapest, but the atmosphere of these places were superb, and we enjoyed every one that we ventured into.
