HALIFAX: A GOTHIC WEEKEND

We spent the weekend in Halifax! Halifax is a town located in West Yorkshire. It's famous for it's Piece Hall, a beautiful building, which now holds many independent shops, cafes & bars. In the summer, the outside space is used to hold concerts, and bands such as Korn, Limp Bizkit, and Placebo have played. As well as the Piece Hall, there are some wonderful craft beer bars, which we sample in this video. If you are into your doom metal, you will already know some bands were born out of Halifax or close to it, such as Paradise Lost and My Dying Bride (Bradford). We have known some of the MDB guys for a while now, and can now call them friends. Them, and their partners and friends, are simply wonderful. So we all met up and grabbed some drinks. It was fantastic, and we were really, quite drunk. Haha! Shibden hall is just a five minute drive away from the town centre, so we visited the area before driving home. A tranquil place, with the historical Shibden Hall itself, and the gardens surrounding it. It's worth a trip if you are into nature and have some time.
