Join me as we make a very easy, cute and beginner-friendly set of potholders using either leftover pieces of precuts, or scraps you already have on-hand. Grab your fabric, some cotton batting and a few supplies and I’ll show you how to make your own set of potholders. Finished size: approximately 8.25” x 8.25” Supplies needed: Backing: Two 9” squares Fronts: If using pre-cuts, you will need two 5” charm squares and two (WOF) Jelly roll strips. If you are using scraps or yardage, you’ll need two 5” squares and two 35” - 40” pieces that are 2.5” wide. 9” pieces of cotton batting, or insulbrite If attaching the optional hanging loop, you’ll need 2 pieces cut at 1.75” x 5 - 6” long scissors, rotary cutter, cutting mat, acrylic, ruler, pens, or clips, turning tool, iron, stiletto (optional, but it’s helpful when sewing thick projects), 1/4” sewing foot, all purpose (universal) sewing foot, Walking foot (optional, but helpful, for this project).
