Just in time for back to school, we are going to make a beautiful fabric cover for a One Subject Notebook! I explain everything in detail and have even added some bonus footage, in case you're interested. I hope you give this project a try and sew one for someone you love. It is a creative way to show YOUR student (or yourself) just how talented you are and how much you love them! Supplies needed: Zipper (10” or longer), Fabrics (sizes listed below), SF101, Pellon 973 (or Pellon 987 or Cotton Batting, etc) (sizes listed below), 13-15” length of ribbon (optional), scissors, rotary cutter, old pair of scissors, acrylic ruler, point turner, pins or clips, 1/4” foot, Universal foot, zipper foot, thread, iron, 1 subject notebook, marking utensil. If using appliqué as shown, you’ll need Heat N Bond Lite. Fabric cuts needed: Outer Front Fabric #1 - One @ 13” x 16” Outer Front Fabric #2 - One @ 13” x 5” For Inner Flaps - Two @ 13” x 9” (or desired width) For Pocket - Two @ 13” x 5.5” Zipper Tabs - Two @ 1 & 1/8” x 3” Lining - 1 @ 20.5” x 12.5” *If you are doing appliqué as I show, you’ll need one or more fussy cut fabrics of your choice.
