Oti and I have been looking for an inflatable kayak for a long time - since before we got the first paddle board 4yrs ago. At the time, I couldn't find anything of good enough quality in my price range, which is why we went for the board. Even last year when I changed to the Wave board, I didn't see a kayak that I preferred. Having spoken to lots of people in person and in online groups, I had a shortlist of the Sandbanks explorer, Sevylor Madison or Colorado, Itiwit 100x, Aquamarina Steam and Aquaglide Chelan. I had to rule out the Aquaglide unfortunately - it looks utterly amazing, I'd still love a try of one belonging ‪@TheOptimisticAdventurer‬ , but I wouldn't be able to justify the additional cost until early next year, and we've got a lot of adventures planned! It could easily be an upgrade in the future..... The steam was out for me too - it looks lovely, but being a bigger woman the conclusion is that there's not much flexibility in seat positioning to make myself and Oti comfortable. I ruled out the Sevylors after sitting in them in a shop - very nice boats, but I can see why the common conclusion is that they are time consuming to dry - I go out regularly and want an easy life! Wave and Bluefin are also bringing ones out this month, but having waited so many years it was decision time.
