THCV and Diabetes It has also been shown to “ameliorate insulin sensitivity” in mouse models, indicating that it may prove to be an effective treatment for diabetes (Wargent et al 2013). Additionally, it has been found to be both a stimulant and an appetite suppressant. THCV in the Future THCV and other Varin type cannabinoids are being eagerly studied. Oregon CBD has currently released a variety of polyploid hemp that will express the varin-type cannabinoids, but they are focused on CBDV production, as it is difficult to predict whether THCV will be tightly regulated or not, as it does have some psychoactive potential.
