Training Ground Tour with Blackburn Eagles

Earlier this month we welcomed Blackburn Eagles U11s to Brockholes for a tour around our Senior Training Centre, and they were accompanied by the BBC cameras! As one of the participating teams in this year's Junior Orphanage Cup, organised jointly by Blackburn Rovers Community Trust and Child Action Northwest for the first time, teams were set the challenge of raising money for charity, with the team raising the most winning the chance to go to the STC and see the first team train. Through thoughtful donations Blackburn Eagles raised over £700 with proceeds being split between Child Action Northwest and Blackburn Rovers Community Trust, which was deservedly covered by the BBC North West Tonight team. On the tour they got to see every part of the footballing operation at Rovers, seeing where Jon Dahl Tomasson gives his players their tactical instructions, to the treatment room seeing players working through their rehabilitation process, working out who’s boots were who’s in the boot room to even checking out the swimming pool!
