Should you buy the Gamerz Tek Super HD 2, 2-in-1 Super Nintendo and NES HDMI Clone System

In this video we test out the Gamerz Tek Super HD-2, a 2-in-1 HDMI-equipped clone system. Interested in purchasing a Gamerz Tek Super HD-2 of your own? Order thru this link and support the channel at https://amzn.to/2H6Fo4v Since starting down the road of clone consoles I have really liked what Gamerz Tek systems have provided in-terms of game play. They have tended to look & sound better than other 8-bit or 16-bit clones, plus they have a lower price tag. The 8-Bit HD has been my favorite standalone NES clone to-date and the 16-Bit HD is in my top 3. When Gamerz Tek announced a 2-in-1 NES and SNES system I was geeked, and thankfully Gamerz Tek sent us one for review. On the NES-side of things the Super HD-2 is pretty much an 8-Bit HD. That being said the color pallet and sound is virtually identical to that system. That means, of course, that the coins in Super Mario Bros don't quite sound right, a bit disappointing. I just wish they could tweak this part of the system because it's one of the few things this system doesn't do well. Beyond the coins in SMB however the rest of the gameplay is really solid. Controls feel good, games play well and I only ran into 2 compatibility issues. My Game Genie didn't work, and much like other systems, Battletoads freezes in level 2. Beyond this, as shown in the video, Castlevania 3, PAL games, even Famicom games with the 60-to-72 pin adapter work great. And honestly I don't know if my Famicom games have ever looked better! The 16-bit side of things definitely has seen some attention and improvements, even from their own recently released 16-Bit HD. On a trip to Germany in February 2018 I picked up a few PAL SNES games and, while most worked on the 16-bit HD not all did. I'm thrilled to share that is not an issue with the Super HD-2 as ALL my PAL SNES games play perfectly. This demonstrates to me that Gamerz Tek is always working and striving to improve even from one system to the next. Why it RoX: Plays NES, SNES, Super Famicom & Super Gameboy Great Game Compatibility Good Color and Sound The included controllers are excellent Micro-USB power input 4:3/16:9 & NTSC/PAL Switches What could be improved? Mario coin sounds are still off I would have liked to have one of Gamerz Tek's excellent NES-controllers included Having a Genesis in here and making it a 3-in-1 would be a WIN Controller cords are a bit short Not compatible with Game Genie Battletoads locks up on level 2 Should you buy one? Man, this is a no-brainer to me. If you're looking for a budget-friendly way to play both your NES & SNES games, plus Super Famicom and PAL games this is a very good way to do it. The SNES-side of the system is improved over their own 16-Bit HD which was already very good. I wish the NES side's sound was improved and it worked with my Game Genie but these are minor blemishes on an otherwise very good budget system.
