We often hear that there are more important aspects to tabletop role-playing games; however, it is not always clear what is meant by that. It may simply be that some gamers are operating under a very narrow definition of what constitutes fun. The perspective being espoused in this video is that fun is part of the social interaction order manifested by groups, and is other-referentia, leading to joint hedonic satisfactionl; in contrast, enjoyment is seen as self-referential, and seeking personal hedonic satisfaction.
