Students can use SoundType AI to get feedback on their speaking & get suggestions for improvements

I wanted to record a simulation of the complete process of a student recording herself on SoundType AI, getting a transcript, editing it and copying it to Copilot (or ChatGPT) and asking for it to be corrected and for suggestions for improvements. In this situation the student would already have the notes they used to retell the story and the same notes and any further notes from the feedback from AI could be used to repeat the task, recording it on SoundType AI (obviously) and repeating the request for correction and suggestions for improvements. In fact, when I checked the level of the more coherent version suggested by Copilot on https://textinspector.com/ , I was C1+ 66%. This is really too ambitious for a B1 level learner, and I would have preferred version at a level of B2/B2+. I said to Copilot "I checked the level of this and found it was C1+ according to https://textinspector.com/ Could you aim for a lower level of B2 or B2+?" and got a simpler version at B2+ My conclusion is that I /she should have asked for "a more coherent version at B2 level on the CEFR scale" in the first place. The video is in real time, except for the three short coughs I removed using Clipchamp by Microsoft, which I also used to put in Carlota's voice and some short voice-overs and a couple of texts over the video as AZ Screen Recorder doesn't record when the app being recorded uses the microphone itself. One of the reasons for making the recording on my Android phone was to find out exactly how long the whole process takes: nearly 15 minutes for a four-minute recording. This was necessary as I have never put this idea of using a Voice to Text app to get a transcript in practice in class as when I was a teacher we could only dream of such apps!
