Should you get the alloy wheels or stick with the spokes? Easy. Get the alloys. The only exception to this would be the occasional rider where a puncture and the inconvenience of a tubed tyre would not be a big deal. For everyone else, the alloy wheels (and crucially) the tubeless tyres are what you should be going for.
