We were supposed to start trekking at 6 AM, but due to some DIY tasks—cooking, packing lunch, and packing up our tents—we left later than planned, at 8:30 AM. This pushed our estimated arrival at Vishansar Lake to 4 PM instead of 2 PM. The trail was tough, especially the 3 km steep ascent under the scorching sun, which drained a lot of our energy. Thankfully, there were two tea houses along the way where we rested. Despite the challenges, we kept our spirits high by playing games and having fun throughout. When we finally reached the campsite, we decided to take a dip in the freezing cold Vishansar Lake—a bold move that not many trekkers attempt! 🏞️ The lake’s views were breathtaking and unforgettable, despite the cold shock. However, the sight of dead horses and mules along the way was distressing. It's essential to ensure better treatment and care for these animals on the trek. In the evening, I spent time playing with sheep and experienced the local lifestyle with fire pots made from sheep dung.
