Ultra Running VLOG - Post Leadville 100 Miles and pre Tour du Mont-Blanc

Curious about how to train and run an ultra marathon? Welcome to my ultra running training VLOG - Episode 11. This series shows what it takes to run ultra marathon, providing you honest and uncensored details as I train and race for 100 miles ultra marathon every month for the third year. This is a 'behind the scene' view showing the imperfection but the reality of ultra running. Curious about the gear I use and recommend? Check out this link https://linktr.ee/runningwithsimon This episode covers 2 weeks - probably the least active in a while - recovery from Leadville 100 miles and preparation for Tour du Mont-Blanc. I was hesitant to put this episode out - it feels boring. But thinking more about it - I think it's important to show that not every cycle will have great workout or great adventure. Some times, it's just ... well...boring. So I hope you can forgive me for this as I know it's a bit more 'blaw' and hopefully you appreciate the transparency. And also, next VLOG will more than compensate, with (hopefully if all goes well) 300 miles in the Alps! Another running VLOG episode, another 2 weeks cycle. But this time is a little different - my next race is in 3 weeks...but it's also the biggest challenge of my life! Tor des Geants is 200 miles in the italian Alps, with an incredible 80k ft of climbing. Yup, it's twice Ouray 100 - the hardest ultra marathon I've ever done. So needless to say, my work really wanted me to have proper rest, by preventing much training. It's not great, but I think it could play out just fine. And also, that's not the next adventure! The next one is Tour du Mont-Blanc, same course as UTMB, but doing it with Nora going from gite to gite. We're very excited about this adventure. It's actually our first time traveling abroad together (except going to see my family in Montreal). So this episode is not the most exciting - but that's also the reality of average people doing these things - you don't always have cool adventures every 2 weeks! That said, next episode I'll have (hopefully) 300 miles to talk about! As always - Thanks for watching and remember - Work Hard! Believe in yourself! Push your limits!
