Follow me on Instagram @volkswizard.co.uk Freshly recovered from COVID, I now have to get home from the Provence Alps and being me, I can't take the easier but longer motorway option to our stopover in the Black Forest spa town of Baden Baden, when a more direct route over 2 alpine summits (Col de Lombarde and Col du Grand St. Bernard) is shorter, toll free and undoubtedly will be memorable and perfect for a car like the 981 Boxster GTS. 500 miles isn't difficult to cover in one day in Europe on the often free flowing motorways, but doing it via 2 alpine passes is quite different as you will see (the bags under my eyes at the end confirm how tough its really been!).
