This trip came about because I'd booked a ferry to report on the new Clubsport reveal on 31/5 but decided against it. This date coincided with UK half term and DFDS were slapping on a £100 surcharge onto their £99 short break ticket right at the end of the booking. This led to me to look at alternatives via a price comparison website which led me to Irish Ferries.
