The Acrobatic Body - Aamir Khan's Untold Transformation

Bollywood megastar Aamir Khan is well known for the spectacular body transformations he’s undertaken for his roles in various films over the years. In 2008 he blew us away with his intense role and impressive physique in Ghajini, and more recently he left jaws gaping with his “Fat to Fit” transformation for Dangal. In "The Acrobatic Body," join Aamir, Victor Acharya (the director of Dhoom 3), and trainer David Poznic for Aamir’s untold transformation for his hit film, Dhoom 3. "The Acrobatic Body" is a tour through the two years of intense training it took for Aamir to transform into a professional acrobat for his role(s) in Dhoom 3. Aamir’s goal for Dhoom 3 was to not just get ripped, but to actually look, feel, and move like an acrobat. To reach this goal, he joined forces with a professional acrobat and personal trainer David Poznic. David led Aamir not only through intensive weight lifting regimes in the gym, but also trained him in handstands, acrobatics, parkour, juggling, and unicycling. As you’ll see in "The Acrobatic Body," even Aamir’s gym training for Dhoom 3 was geared completely toward building both the body and the movement style of a professional acrobat and circus artist. Drawing from over 15 years of international travels - coaching and performing in the realms of circus, dance, physical theatre, and martial arts - Poznic’s unique training style pushed Aamir to his limits and helped him to completely transform both his body and movement style to embody this once-in-a-lifetime (double!) role.
