Thinking to travel to Colombia in 2024? Top place to visit and top things to do in Colombia. Tayrona National Park & Barranquilla Carnival! 3 weeks travel to Colombia in March 2019! We travelled Colombia starting from Bogotá-Santa Marta-Barranquilla-Cartagena -San Andres & Medellín and I tried to vlog as much as possible with my Canon G5x and my Samsung Galaxy S9. We stayed at Dreamer Hostel which was a very nice chilled and relaxing place. Great food, music and people, the atmosphere was literally like a dream there as you was so closed off from the outside world. We met some amazing people and ventured out into Santa Marta, heading to the malls and visiting local bars. Unfortunately I never got footage of this but it was a real nice experience. The bars we went to were a little far from our hostel however we just split taxi costs and we was totally fine. One of the days we took the local bus which didn't cost much towards Tayrona National Park, once you arrive you must pay an entry fee then you have until the park closes to explore. There is an option where you can stay the night which is supposed to be good, as you stay in tents near the shore. Tayrona National Park is a beautiful area and if your lucky you will see monkeys or other wildlife. There is a beautiful beach in the middle and tasty restaurants to try out some Colombian dishes. Tayrona National Park is an experience you must try i would highly recommend it. After this the next couple days we explored the town taking in the environment of the people and enjoying the amazing sunsets. After enjoying Santa Marta we took another bus to Barranquilla where we rented an airbnb in a real nice part of town. We took a taxi from the bus terminal to our airbnb which was a modern home with amazing views. We headed into town to go out later that night however it was the wrong night and the place was deserted. Next day we enjoyed the carnival with all the colours and the smells of the area. We enjoyed our time there in the day time and at night headed to some of the street parties, which gave you a goodies back with a free can of beer which was great. In these parties and in the carnival people love to throw flour at each other, I wish i got some of these clips as they was hilarious. Next we are heading towards San Andres and Cartagena.
