Detachable 3S LEGO ropeway intermediate station

Finally I present you the detachable 3S-ropeway with an intermediate station. Besides more than 20'000 lego parts there are around 400 gears, 2'000 chain-links, and 36 motors. 13 gondolas run at a distance of 25 seconds between the stations, inbetween I placed 4 masts. The intermediate-station is around 2 meters long. In total there are 36 motors to operate the ropeway. 8 of them are used for the haul-rope and 16 to power the conveyor-system. The stations at the end are equipped with pneumatic cylinders that automatically correct the tension of the haul-rope. It's air-compressor is controlled via RCX-bricks (the very first Mindstorms-System). Light-sensors detect the distance inbetween the gondolas and correct it if necessary by partially slowing down the conveyor-system. A further gimmick are the blue rotation-sensors in the stations. They detect if the rope fell out of a deflection pulley by supervising the differential gearboxes located in the center of the stations. If the differential gearbox starts turning, the rope fell off a pulley. If you have any questions ore advice, please comment or write me a message.
