Honda Shadow carb issue?

UPDATE: A few days after this video was posted, I took the carbs out and cleaned them. They were filthy. When I was done the bike ran better than it did when I bought it 4 years ago. Thanks for the insights.--------------------------------------------------- My 1997 Honda Shadow VT600 sat in the garage for 8+ months without being touched (we realize this was not a good idea). We rolled it out after the winter, jump started it and it's been having problems. It is very sluggish in neutral and dies if you give it more than a tiny bit of gas. The rpms never get high enough to get it moving, even after the engine is warmed up. Do the carbs simply need cleaning? Is there a different problem? WHAT IS TO BE DONE??
