When did you first hear about Chamomile? Was it as a child through a calming cup of tea, or perhaps as an adult cultivating it in your garden? We lovingly refer to Chamomile as "the gateway herb" because its beauty and medicine are so familiar to so many of us. This herb invites calm and peace into our life, and a ray of sunshine when grown in our garden. Known for its relaxing daisy flower and its anti-inflammatory properties, this little wispy herb brings big medicine. This week's episode of our Plant Profile series is presented by Emily Ruff from the Sage Mountain Botanical Sanctuary in Vermont. The study of herbalism is rooted in our personal relationships with individual plants.
