Today we review another rye from Penelope...this is their Toasted rye!!! This new line from Penelope explores the impact of different char and toast levels as a second barreling on 100% rye whiskey...a custom mash bill from MGP! All of the whiskey was distilled and barreled in October of 2017, so any variance should just be due to the differences in the barreling. We love the experimentation and creative idea but not all of liked the final product. If you really like Rye you should try this if you are borderline this might be a bit too much!! Cheers!
