UK sailing: Weymouth to Brixham across Lyme bay Welcome to Cactus sailing where we are sailing the uk, and sailing uk waters, This season we’re heading west to the scilly isles but in future we hope to go sailing and travel further to France or Spain. Our true ambition is to go sailing around the world cruising along the way in our sailing boat, although our boat might not be up to getting to the Mediterranean (for our comfort levels anyway) To that point we may change the Bavaria 30 in the future for a bluewater sailing yacht or a liveaboard boat which we can live full time. But for now the English channel is our ocean and sailing the pacific can be left to other sailing yachts like la vagabonde, we will stick to the south coast sailing until we follow in many others footprints. This weeks sailing video is one of us not quite sailing around the world, but one in which we take our little sailboat sailing around the UK, well that's the plan anyway as we travel west across Lyme bay in a hope to reach the scilly isles This sailing vlog and this season you will see our life on board namely boat life in our tiny floating house as we avoid the storm as and go off cruising the us south coast which isnt quite blue water cruising but the tides and winds sure make for a challenging ride! We begin our quest to sail west over to the isles of scilly, (well thats the plan) the first few days hit a snag in the marina due to a storm passing over and blowing 45knots of wind. Marina fever kicks in and we cant wait to get out sailing, after waiting out the winds we finally set sail across lyme bay to Brixham Join us on board to follow our adventure west, see where we get too and what the crew gets up to on board.
