Sailing the UK: Decision time - SV sea cactus #22 This was a bit hard for us, we really wanted to plug on west, but it had to be an unanimous crew decision. the forecast was still giving us plenty of westerly wind but there was a high pressure system moving in towards the beginning of the next. that would mean our return journey would turn into beating too and we just couldn't handle 3 weeks of beating into the wind Our little deck hound Princeton had also recently being diagnosed with a heart disease and while he was doing well on his medication we wanted to stay close to civilisation in case we needed the vet, i don't talk about this in the video but in the background it was one of our decision making points to not press onto the scillies where we wouldn't be able to get hold of a vet to easily then there was the kids, they wanted to swim and play in the sea, and while we had some nice days on land, it wouldn't be fair to beat all the way west to then beat all the way east back home. so we decided to come back east.
