The way it is the edge would be more suitable for an axe or machete, which is fine for chopping and splitting wood, but it limits the usefulness for fine carving and cutting string, food, etc. This is especially true for for the shorter version, which is not long enough for effective chopping or batoning, but not good enough at other tasks, compared to other knives with thinner blade and finer edge. Otherwise the design is very practical, and it's nice to see additional accessories and quality steel at an affordable price.
