I felt I'd never done one and HAD to since it fell on a Tuesday this year. Anyways, I was worried initially that this song's immense charm was rooted in it's repetitiveness and I'd have a hard time expanding upon it. Where yeah, it's repetitive, the chords were really fun to play around with since they were essentially just octaves in the original. Where the color could be added was the fun part. I almost wish because of the progression of the melody that I did this for St. Patricks day or something because it's very Irish dance in a way! Oh well, I think it worked well as song choice. I've been reading all your comments guys, something I don't see many people at almost 100k subscribers (!!!???) doing. The biggest concern, which I agree with, last week was the weakness in the Rhythm guitar. I've been struggling to get all my tones back to where they were before, but even better. People have been saying that my lead and bass are fine, but the rhythm hasn't really matched and I whole-heartedly agree. This time I tried to emphasize the lower mids almost dramatically compared to my other rhythm tones. I think it was a step in the right direction but, it's not yet appealing to my ears yet. Remember guys, these video are and have always been exercises for me to get better at this stuff. I don't claim to be amazing, but I want to get there someday! Next week is an old favorite. I've been hitting up the SNES a lot this year, but it wouldn't feel right to leave this one out.
