This is Gallifrey at War | Cinematic Orchestral Theme Cover

The Timelord March to War. Enjoy this heavy orchestral dark cover of 'This is Gallifrey: Our Childhood, Our Home', intended to portray the Timelords at battle in the Time War... a war which would lead to their utter destruction. Gallifrey was at the furthest edge of the war. In its own temporal zone, it survived the constant reality changes and rewrites of history. The Transduction barrier kept the Daleks out, but it is evident that at some point in the war, a small fleet was able to penetrate the defences and attack the citadel. All of them were destroyed, strewn about the valley outside the citadel. The Time Lord capitol did not come out of this unscathed; the glass dome was shattered and sections of the city were scorched, resulting in billowing plumes of black smoke rising from the ruin. This music piece was constructed so that it starts with soft high reverb wind instruments to convey the whimsical fantasy and innocence of a childhood on Gallifrey and the nostalgia of an ancient race who used to keep the peace. The drums kick in with a slower heavy brass and strings rendition of the main theme, with many of the more elegant notes removed to give the sense of the power and unwavering force of the Time Lords at war.
