Clutch Fluid Bleed, Flush & Change - BMW R1200GS LC: DETAILED Step-by-Step Instructions

What to do? My bike is stuck in neutral, won't drop into 1st gear. Most likely due to air in the clutch line. This is a detailed step-by-step video instruction on bleeding and changing the clutch fluid on a BMW R1200GSA. It also includes the process of removing the battery and starter motor. The process will be similar for the R1200GS (non-adventure version) with the slight exception of some body panel/fairing removal. We show every step in the process including every body panel, cable and screw/bolt removal. If you have the same issue or just want to flush out your aging clutch fluid, or want to change your battery or starter motor this video is for you! If you're only interested in the removal of the battery and starter motor I have a video on just that process here:    • Starter Motor & Battery Removal on a ...   Check out my R1200GS/A Playlist that includes other how-to videos:    • BMW R1200GS Adventure   Video chapter markers: 0:01 The problem, stuck in Neutral 1:09 Tools needed for this job 1:42 Removing battery panel and battery 3:04 Moving exhaust flow control valve servo to get to starter motor 3:57 Removing starter motor cables 5:21 Removing starter motor bolts 7:02 Remove starter motor 8:31 Look out for this bracket that might prevent the starter from coming out 8:55 START OF CLUTCH BLEED & FLUSHING 12:30 Cleaning and lubing starter motor and o-ring 13:13 Re-installing starter motor 17:22 Reinstalling exhaust flow control valve servo 18:01 Reinstalling the battery 20:00 Clutch check - working! 20:05 Close the episode! ---------------------------------- Tools needed for bleeding and changing the clutch fluid: Socket wrench 6mm wrench Torx T20 bit Rubber hose (3/32 ID) Siphon (optional) -------------------------------- Tools needed for the starter motor and battery removal: Socket wrench Long socket extension Universal joint (for upper starter motor bolt) 10mm socket 10mm Shorty wrench Torx bits: T25 &T30 Small screwdriver (for removing electrical connectors) Torque wrench for 2, 7, 10 and 12 Nm Wire cutter Wire tie Magnetic pick -------------------------------- Parts and supplies needed: BMW Motorrad Blue V10 Hydraulic Clutch Fluid 100ml (PN 07 51 2 240 344) O-ring for starter motor FKM 80HS 3,1MM.
