Just A Shave: Gillette Fat Boy - Feather (M) (57) - CBL Cgr Shp Cwby - Semogue Torga C5 Prem

Trying the Fat Boy with the Feather again, and yes, it is much smoother than the Slim was yesterday! How about that? Also trying a new brush, the Semogue Torga. Razor: Gillette - Fat Boy Blade: Feather (Marathon) (57) Lather: CBL Soaps - Cigar Shop Cowboy Brush: Semogue - Torga C5 Premium (1 uses) Post: Stirling - Sharp Dressed Man Balm Razor and Blade Notes - Gillette - Fat Boy ::: Feather (M) (57 uses): Light tugging, but no problem. And was just the first pass. enjoyable. And yes, the Slim yesterday, with the same blade, was noticeably rougher feeling. Soap Notes - CBL Soaps - Cigar Shop Cowboy: Them: "Spicy and woody with hints of gunpowder, leather, amber and cherry" Scent: Really just the leather was left after this one suffered some real heat problems in shipping. Very nice, though, and I've had good dealings with Chris, the maker, to fix the situation. Scent Strength: 4/10, very lightly present during shaving. Lather: Can't really complain about the lather today. It was good, but the new boar, which is typical, killed it pretty hard. Bowl: Dollar Tree Bowl Red Melamine Brush Notes - Semogue - Torga C5 Premium (1 uses): A scrubby guy, but wtih somewhat soft tips. Can't wait for them to split and open up more. *Shave Quality* During the Shave Feel: Cheeks: Felt blade but comfortable Neck: Just a little tugging After the Shave Closeness: Cheeks: Near BBS - About as close as I'll ever get Neck: Cut flush to where I just see the tips (above average for me) Wetshaving is the age-old shaving method where you create a lather from a soap or cream, usually with a brush. And these days, we also usually mean using a safety razor (aka double edge or DE) or single edge or straight razor to remove the hair. We often enjoy less irritated skin, healthier skin, more enjoyable shaves, and often closer shaves than those who use a multi-bladed cartridge and canned shaving foam.
