I think that the story of Joseph’s life is a very fascinating one. Despite ALL the adversities he faced, and there were many, he never once lost his trust and faith in God. His unwavering faith and integrity ultimately led him to a position of power in Egypt. When famine struck, Joseph used his God-given wisdom to save not only Egypt but also his family. He forgave his brothers, recognising all the while that it had been God's hand upon his life in his journey from the pit to the prison and ultimately to the palace. What is so incredibly remarkable, though, is that instead of allowing all the adversities to bring discord, strife and division in his family, he used it to reunite and restore the family so that together, as a family fused through adversity, they could enjoy the blessings that God had provided for them in the land of Goshen. Once again, we are all in readiness to welcome you to our 8am and 10:30am services, as well as all of you watching online from all over the world. It’s going to be a special Sunday, not just because it’s Father’s Day, but because ALL fathers are somewhat special! I like what the late Rev. Billy Graham once said: "A good father is one of the most unsung, unpraised, unnoticed, and yet one of the most valuable assets in our society." I FULLY concur with that!
