What is a legacy? How do you create one? And does it really involve chaos? Roger Schultz, Ph.D., started out life as the son of blue-collar workers and today serves as the superintendent/president of Mt. San Jacinto College, one of the fastest-growing community colleges in California. In this talk, Dr. Schultz - or Roger, as he prefers to be called -- shares how a decision by his grandfather, his gig as a DJ, and some chaos helped him create a legacy that transforms the lives of thousands of students, their families, and employees and provides tips on how you can create a legacy of your own. Hint: Don't wait - start planning now! Roger W. Schultz is the Superintendent/President of Mt. San Jacinto College, a position he has held since 2008. He joined MSJC in 2001 to fill the position of Vice President of Student Services. He also served as interim Vice President of Instruction at the college, as well as the executive director of the MSJC Foundation. Mt. San Jacinto College serves nearly 24,000 students annually throughout a 1,700-square-mile district. The campuses in the district are: the San Jacinto Campus, Menifee Valley Campus, the Temecula Valley Campus, and the San Gorgonio Pass Campus.
