This video will define Agile Project Management terminology, to include Epics, User Stories, Product Backlog, Sprint Backlog, Sprint, Issues, Roadmaps, and Story Points. We include a scrum "cheat sheet" as a visual. Bree Howell will then provide you with a high-level Jira tutorial, if you are looking for software or a tool to support you with Agile Project Management. Here is the link to Jira's free trial: https://www.atlassian.com/software/ji... Agile project management is an iterative approach to managing projects that focuses on continuous releases and incorporating customer feedback with every iteration. Agile is popular in software development and is best when paired with projects that have ambiguity or unknown requirements. Scrum is a very well known form of Agile project management. Epics are large bodies of work that can be broken down into a number of smaller tasks, called user stories. A user story is a short, simple description of a feature told from the perspective of the end user who desires the new capability or functionality. A roadmap outlines how a product or solution develops over time. The product backlog sets the priorities for the agile program. The team includes all work items in the backlog: new features, bugs, enhancements, technical tasks, etc. The sprint backlog is the work that the team will complete during a specific time-boxed amount of time, prior to releasing the next increment. This is generally 2 - 4 weeks in duration. In Jira, teams use issues to track individual pieces of work that must be completed. An issue may represent a project task, a Helpdesk ticket, a leave request form, or other, depending on how your team uses it. agileprojectmanagement #tipforprojectrmanagemant #projectmanagement ************************ Kandis Porter is the Founder and Managing Director of Effective Flow Connections (EFC), a management consulting company that helps transform organizations through project management, process improvement, change management, facilitation of key meetings, and training.
