Check out the Perdomo Habano Connecticut & Read The Review: https://bespokeunit.com/articles/ciga... Learn about the Bespoke Unit Cigar Formula: https://bespokeunit.com/cigars/formula/ Video Summary: 00:00 Introduction In Europe, this particular blend is known as the Perdomo Nicaragua Connecticut as the term "Habano" cannot be used for terroirs outside of Cuba. 00:17 Cigar Overview The Ecuadorian Connecticut wrapper used for this cigar was aged for a minimum of six years before undergoing another ageing process in American white oak ex-bourbon barrels. The rest of the blend consists of Condega, Jalapa, Esteli and even some Ometepe. 02:11 Look & Feel & Prelight The Perdomo features a delicate and pristine wrapper with minimal veins and a gorgeous, oily sheen. The spring is firm with just a slight resistance when pinched and the cigar is finished with a triple cap. Its notes on the foot consist of hay, white chocolate, and white pepper. The cold draw also delivers hay with herbaceous notes coming through with a hint of cinnamon. There are also touches of basil leaves and the resistance in the draw is perfect. 03:01 Tasting Notes The first third opens with marzipan, brioche, and almond cream. In the back, there are woody vanilla notes and a hint of fennel. The second third provides deep and sweet notes of cookies and cream, dried leaves and herbs, white chocolate, walnut, and coconut cream. The final third is more savoury with notes of lemon thyme as well as pretzels. Although mild to medium, it has a distinctive full body. The mouthfeel is coating and dense. Myrrh and aniseed can be detected on the retrohale. The cigar is complex and intricate with balanced stimulation. The lifecycle is developed and carries the cigar towards a prolonged finish. The residual scent is pleasant. 05:47 Burn The construction is ideal and no touch-ups were required as it offered a smooth burn line. The draw was ideal with a firm and stable ash backbone. The smoke is cool and almost ethereal. 06:38 Overall Experience The band has a classic look with a secondary ring on the foot. The golden presentation is very elegant. The same can be said for the boxes, which look fantastic. They present excellent value for money at $10 each. It's a great everyday cigar that can be enjoyed in the morning or even during a break in the early afternoon. 8:36 Pairings Opt for pairings like cookies and a glass of milk. Alternatively, green olives would be an excellent savoury option. A light bourbon would be a great choice, too. Reinhard would also consider Hungarian sweet wine like a Tokaji. In terms of coffee, consider a cappuccino for the creaminess it provides. Already tried the Perdomo Habano Connecticut cigar or have any questions? Leave us a comment to let us know your thoughts!
