Explosive lateral movements are a fundamental skill for catchers to have. The six-ball blocking drill allows catchers to practice at their own pace. This drill involves evenly spacing six softballs and working down the line blocking each one. Be sure to repeat, going back down the line to make sure your lateral movement is strong on both sides.
