This is Port Barnett rock shelter, located within scripture rocks heritage Park in Brookville, Pennsylvania. This rock shelter is a hands-on area where you can experience firsthand while sitting inside the rock shelter and looking at your surroundings. It gives you a fantastic idea of what it would be like and what the view may have been like during the pre-colonial days. Note that the Onondaga chert is obtained from the Allegheny river. And was used commonly in Western Pennsylvania and north central Pennsylvania. Jefferson county chert is separate and was quite crude in comparison.
