Level Crossing, Douglas Park NSW, Part 2.

This is the Camden Road level crossing at Douglas Park NSW. It is located between Campbelltown and Picton, on the Sydney - Melbourne line. It has been almost two years since I first filmed this crossing and the signals have been painted recently, so I decided to film here again. I also wanted to test my new camera in low light conditions during the early morning. For a closer look at the crossing equipment you can see the original video here    • Douglas Park Level Crossing, NSW, Aus...   There have been no changes to the equipment since my last visit. Both of the road crossing signals have unmarked bases, Safetran gate mechanisms (the southern signal has since been replaced by a new one with a Western Cullen Hayes gate mechanism, but the lights and bell have been reused) and McKenzie & Holland lights (converted to LED). The northern signal has a WRRS mechanical bell (painted black) which rings from start up until the gates rise. The southern signal has a newer Western Cullen Hayes mechanical bell which rings until the gates lower. The pedestrian signals have GRS semaphore gate mechanisms and Alstom LED "Don't Walk" lights. The freight train in the video is 4MB2 containers from Melbourne to Brisbane, with locomotives NR105 and NR24. Filmed on May 3, 2018.
