AFX Super Racing Turbo Slot Cars & Amtrak HO Train

Model Railroad & Slot Car HO Racing Layout: Slot Cars in video: AFX Tomy SRT Super Racing Turbo 1997 Ford T-Bird Thunderbird Stocker Arrow Tractors NASCAR #23 Blue & Yellow. vs AFX Tomy SRT Super Racing Turbo Super Racing Turbo Ford T-Bird Thunderbird #24 Nylatron Team AFX NASCAR. You can see that a Chicago kid likes to get Chicago trains and cars and bus (and midwest, great lakes regional). HO Scale Trains in video: Amtrak B32 Dash 8 (Walthers) and P42 (Athearn) Diesel Locomotive Engines and baggage car and seven Superliner passenger cars (Walthers). These two slot cars reminded me how much we like AFX Aurora Tomy slot cars. In the video they could not bump each other on the squeeze. They tried! I think they did not go off, at least what I saw. I believe these are both SRT cars, but the kids and others do change chassis. They were both the same AFX chassis. The cars were fun to run around the track, they stayed on the track very well. The cars had nice range of speeds on the Parma controllers, so they could be slow through the curves and also sprint on straightaways. Slot Car Track layout has been engineered to keeps cars rolling. Track sections have jumper soldered wiring. Also feed wires go to several of these jumper wires. (This reduces going after stalled cars since to get from the controller area to the NE corner is over 30-foot walk!) Video is not at all in order or continuous, the one camera was moved around on tripod to various view angles during the race and the clips were edited and intermingled. Catching up on previous video files as my HD getting too much stuff. The views from the train with slots passing by were done with on board gopro camera strapped on flat car, other shots were from canon camera on tripod. Also, 4X8 blue styrofoam sheets are moved around to screen out basement stuff especially during on board train video. Postproduction also involves masking, screening, and framing. So, in addition to slot cars and model railroad fun, video narrative production has become an additional hobby. That has been my intention to make videos without distractions, such as light fixtures, ceiling, windows, furnace, water heater, basement stuff and giant people appearing in videos. Better lighting is needed. Maybe better cameras. Maybe even tiny camera on slot car. And that nice castle like tower building in the layout: when your mother comes back from Europe with a building from Bratislava Slovakia that she bought for "your trainset". Video produced using HitFilm Slot cars from Scale Auto
