My First Tri Tip! Smoked then Seared with some Smoked Garlic Butter.

I finally got my hands on some Tri-Tip and got to cook it & taste it for the first time. I must say, it certainly lived up to all of the hype. There is a real nice, butter soft, fat that runs throughout it and when you bite into the meat it almost melts in your mouth. This Tri Tip was full of flavor from the two rubs we applied. We used the Pit Boss Smoke infused rub and the Head Country Original Seasoning. The Tri Tip went in my Pit Boss Vertical Pellet smoker for 90 minutes with the Pit temp set at 250 degrees Fahrenheit. I took it out of the smoke when it reached 127 degrees. We made some smoke roasted garlic butter to brush on the Tri Tip before searing it on the grill for about 2 minutes per side.
