Godwin String Concert SC749 Analog poly Synth Demonstration

In this video Steve Christie demonstrates the Godwin String Concert SC749 synthesiser from the mid 1970s. Manufactured by the company Sisme, Italy. The 749 is a polyphonic string synth with full keyboard polyphony, three octave registers with simple tone, modulation, tremolo, attack, sustain and volume controls. Steve plays a few tunes and references Giampiero Boneschi’s ‘Intimate’ from the 1974 CAM LIBRARY LP ‘A New Sensation In Sound (The New Sound Of A Voice)’ which may or may not have been recorded with a Godwin, but it sounds exactly the same. It all sounds very like a Solina string ensemble.
